Match 4 : Bengaluru FC vs Mumbai City FC Date, Time, Venue, Preview




The fourth match of Hero Indian Super League season 4 will be played between newly introduced ISL team – Bengaluru FC and Mumbai City FC. The game is going be played at Sree Kanteerava stadium, which is situated in Bengaluru. The match is scheduled to start at 8:00 PM on 19th November 2017.

In the entire history of Indian Super League, these teams haven’t faced each other in any game. The statistical data of these teams’ performances is unavailable as they have never played any head-to-head match against each other. Bengaluru FC will be playing its 1st match in this season of Hero ISL.

Owned by Bimal Parekh, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor and Wilhelm Kayque G. Saldanha, Mumbai City FC has not been a consistent performer in all seasons of ISL. Under coach Peter Reid, the team faced immense losses in the initial two seasons of ISL. Till now, the team has not won a single title.

After showcasing poor performance in initial edition of India’s domestic soccer league, the team again failed to improve its performance in second season. But, Mumbai City football club successfully won maximum number of matches in the third edition of ISL.

Costa Rican footballer Alexandre Guimarães has been appointed as the new manager of team Mumbai City FC for the forthcoming edition of ISL. In ISL’s fourth season, the team is expected to perform well under his guidance and mentorship. Mumbai City FC’s first game against Bengaluru FC is going to be much interesting as both teams will be indulging into face-to-face confrontation for the first time in the history of ISL.

Bengaluru FC is the new team in the fourth season of Hero Indian Super League. Owned by JSW Group, the team will make its debut in ISL this year. Former Spanish footballer Albert Roca has been appointed as the head coach of Bengaluru FC for this season of Indian Super League.

In 1st season of Hero Indian Super League, performance of Mumbai City FC wasn’t up to the mark. The team won only four matches and faced defeats in six games. Earning 16 points with its overall performance in the league, Mumbai City FC secured 7th rank in the points table.

In ISL 2015, Mumbai City FC didn’t exhibit any improvement in its performance and won four matches. Loosing six games, the team grabbed 6th position in ISL 2015 standings. Mumbai’s team earned 16 points from the 4 victories.

In third season of ISL, Mumbai City FC registered victories in six matches. Facing defeats in three games, the team created a new record and earned 23 points. With this excellent performance, Mumbai City FC secured first rank in the standings and became the only team to earn highest number of points in the 3rd edition of Hero Indian Super League.

Overall performance of Mumbai’s football club shows that the team has learned a lot from the defeats which it faced in first two seasons of ISL. The team’s performance grew in 3rd season and is expected to improve more in the fourth season. Bengaluru FC vs Mumbai City FC match is going to be quite competitive as the new entrant (Bengaluru FC team) will try its best to win its first match to get a good start to its ISL journey.
