Match 14 : Delhi Dynamos FC vs NorthEast United FC Date, Time, Venue, Preview

Fourteenth match of Hero Indian Super League season 4 will be played between Delhi Dynamos FC and NorthEast United FC. The game is going to be played at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, which is situated in Delhi. The match is scheduled to start at 8:00 PM on 2nd November 2017.

The two teams have confronted in six head to head matches. Beating NorthEast United FC in two matches, Delhi Dynamos FC claimed most number of victories in their one-to-one clash. Delhi’s football club faced defeat in one game against NorthEast United FC. These two teams ended three games with equal scores.

Owned by Bollywood actor John Abraham and Shillong Lajong Football Club, NorthEast United FC has not been a consistent performer in all editions of ISL. Under coach João de Deus, the team witnessed ups and downs in its overall performance in all three seasons of the league. Till now, the team has not won a single title.

After exhibiting dull performance in first season of India’s domestic football tournament, the team improved its performance in second season. However, NorthEast United FC (NEUFC) never reached to the final match of any season of Indian Super League due its poor performances.

Portuguese footballer Nelo Vingada has been appointed as the new manager of team NEUFC for the forthcoming season of ISL. Under his guidance and training, NorthEast United football team is expected to perform well and create a new record in the overall statistics in the entire history of ISL.

In first edition of ISL, performance of NorthEast United FC wasn’t satisfactory for its fans. The team registered victories in only three matches and lost five games. Earning 15 points with its overall performance in the soccer tournament, NorthEast United FC was at the bottom position in the points table.

In ISL 2015, NorthEast United showcased improvement in its performance and won six games. Facing defeats in only two matches, the team secured strong position in top four best performers in ISL 2015 standings. NEUFC earned 20 points from the 6 victories and bagged 4th rank in the points table.

With the decline in the overall performances, NorthEast United FC won five matches in ISL 2016. Loosing six games, the team failed to break its own record of earning 20 points in previous edition. However, NEUFC grabbed fifth rank in the standings by earning 18 points in the third season of Hero Indian Super League.

Delhi Dynamos too came up with unsatisfactory performance in the pre-season practice matches played against the local football clubs in Spain. Out of five friendly matches, the team could win only two. Facing defeats in other three matches, Delhi’s FC performed comparatively poorer than Bengaluru FC. The friendly matches were played in the month of September 2017.

In first edition of Hero ISL, Delhi Dynamos FC gained victories in four matches. The team earned 18 points from 4 victories. Loosing four matches, the team failed to qualify for the semi-final matches. Finishing six matches with equal scores against the opponents, Delhi’s team attained fifth rank in the points table.

Owned by Delhi-based DEN Networks and United States-based ship recycling company GMS Inc., Delhi’s football club grew its performance gradually in all editions of Indian Super League. Under coach Harm van Veldhoven, Delhi’s FC couldn’t achieve good rank in the list of top four best performers in ISL points table.

Exhibiting progress in the overall performance in ISL 2015, Delhi Dynamos FC registered victories in six matches. Delhi’s FC was defeated by the rival teams in four games. Playing 14 matches in the league stage game, Delhi’s team earned 22 points from 6 victories and secured fourth place in the point table. The team successfully qualified for the semis in 2nd season of ISL.

In 3rd season of Indian Super League, Delhi Dynamos maintained consistency in its performance and defeated the opposite teams in five games. The team could not win three matches in the league stage and ended six matches with equal scores. Earning 21 points, Delhi’s football club acquired third place in the point table. The team qualified for the semis but did not manage to reach into the final match.

Former Spanish midfielder Miguel Angel Portugal Vicario has been appointed as the new football manager of team Delhi Dynamos FC for the upcoming season of Hero ISL. Under his guidance and mentorship, Delhi’s football team is expected to perform more excellently in the fourth season of Hero Indian Super League.

After studying the overall performance of NorthEast United FC, it seems that the team has been witnessing ups and downs in its performance in all seasons of ISL. On other side, Delhi Dynamos FC showcased consistent improvement in its performance by elevating its position in the point table. Confrontation between the two teams in the 14th match of ISL season 4 is being expected to be more competitive than their previous clashes.
