The twelfth match of Hero Indian Super League season 4 will be played between newly introduced ISL team – Bengaluru FC and FC Goa. The match is about be played at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, which is situated in Goa. The game is slated to commence at 8:00 PM on 30th November 2017.
In the history of Indian Super League, these teams haven’t faced each other in any game. The statistical information about any match played by these teams is not available as they have never played any head-to-head match against each other. Bengaluru FC will be playing its 2nd match in this season of Hero ISL.
Owned by Jaydev Mody, Venugopal Dhoot and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, FC Goa has not been a consistent performer in all seasons of ISL. Under the mentorship of Brazilian footballer Zico, the team performed excellently in the initial two seasons of ISL. Till now, the team has not won a single title.
After exhibiting admirable performance in initial edition of India’s domestic soccer league, the team maintained consistency in its performance in the second season also. But, Goa City football club failed to win maximum number of matches in the third edition of ISL.
Spanish footballer Sergio Lobera Rodríguez has been appointed as the new manager of team FC Goa for the upcoming edition of ISL. In ISL’s fourth season, the team is expected to perform well under his guidance and training. Goa City FC’s first game against Bengaluru FC is going to be very much interesting as both teams will be having a face-to-face confrontation for the first time in the history of ISL.
Bengaluru FC is the new team in this season of Hero Indian Super League. Owned by JSW Group, the team is going to make its debut in ISL this year. Former Spanish footballer Albert Roca has been appointed as the head coach of Bengaluru FC for this season of Indian Super League.
In 1st season of Hero Indian Super League, performance of Goa FC was at the level of massive success. The team won six matches and faced defeats in four games. Earning 22 points with its overall performance in the league, FC Goa secured 2nd rank in the points table.
In ISL 2015, Goa’s football club continued to exhibit improvement in its performance and won seven matches. Loosing four games, the team grabbed 1st position in ISL 2015 standings. Goa’s team earned 25 points from the 7 victories.
In third season of ISL, FC Goa registered victories in four matches. Facing defeats in eighth games, the team didn’t manage to maintain consistency in its performance and earned 14 points. With this unsatisfactory performance, FC Goa remained at the bottom position in the standings and failed to qualify for the semi-finals in the 3rd edition of Hero Indian Super League.
Overall performance of Goa’s football club shows that the team’s performance declined in the third season of ISL. The team could not perform well in 3rd season.
