Fifth game of Hero Indian Super League season 4 will be played between FC Pune City and Delhi Dynamos. The match is about to be played at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium, which is situated in Pune. The game is slated to begin at 8:00 PM on 22nd November 2017.
In the complete history of Hero ISL, both teams have clashed in six head to head games. Defeating Pune’s team for three times, Delhi Dynamos claimed most number of victories. FC Pune City won only one match against the football club of Delhi city.
Owned by Delhi-based DEN Networks and United States-based ship recycling company GMS Inc., Delhi’s football club showcased gradual improvement in its performance in all seasons of ISL. Under coach Harm van Veldhoven, the team didn’t manage to achieve rank in the list of top four best performers in ISL points table.
Under the mentorship of new coach Roberto Carlos, the team’s performance improved slightly in the 2nd season. Delhi Dynamos succeeded in grabbing a good place in the top four contenders of ISL 2015. However, the team couldn’t reach into the final game in any edition of the league.
On other side, FC Pune City also never reached into the final match as it failed to win more than 7 number of matches in the football series played before the semi finals. The team continued to loose more number of matches in every season of ISL. Maximum defeats in the league reduced FC Pune City’s chances to get an entry into the semi-final matches.
Former Spanish midfielder Miguel Angel Portugal Vicario has been appointed as the new football manager of team Delhi Dynamos FC for the upcoming season of Hero ISL. Under his guidance and mentorship, Delhi’s football team is expected to perform more qualitatively in the fourth season of Hero Indian Super League.
Owned by Rajesh Wadhawan Group, Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan and Italian football club ACF Fiorentina, FC Pune City failed to maintain a good track record in all three editions of Hero ISL. The team never secured rank in top four teams in the ISL standings. FC Pune City lied in the bottom positions in the points table in all seasons of Indian Premier League.
In ISL 2014, Delhi Dynamos bagged 5th position in the standings by winning 4 games and FC Pune City achieved 6th position by acquiring conquest in four matches. Delhi’s team lost four games while FC Pune faced defeats in 6 matches. FC Goa and FC Pune City earned 18 and 16 points, respectively.
In 2nd edition of Hero ISL, Delhi Dynamos FC won 6 matches. On other hand, FC Pune City registered victories in 4 matches. Delhi’s team faced defeats in 4 matches while Pune’s team lost three games. With 22 points, Delhi Dynamos secured 1st rank in ISL standings. Earning 15 points, FC Pune City bagged 7th position in the same table.
In ISL season 3, FC Pune City exhibited dull performance in some matches. Delhi Dynamos earned 22 points from 5 victories and grabbed third rank in points table while FC Pune City attained sixth rank in the same table by earning 16 points.
After studying the overall performances of Delhi Dynamos FC and FC Pune City, it seems that Delhi’s team has comparatively performed better than Pune’s team in every season of ISL. It will be much interesting to see how these teams are going to perform amidst the growing competition in this popular soccer league.
