“We wanted three points and we got it,” says Chennaiyin FC coach John Gregory

Chennaiyin FC coach John Gregory expressed his happiness and satisfaction over the victory of Chennaiyin FC in 15th match of ISL 2017-18. Beating FC Pune City with 1-0 score, Chennai’s team registered its 2nd victory in this season of Hero Indian Super League.

After the thrilling match ended with 1-0 result, Chennaiyin FC coach replied to the questions asked by media. Giving a quick response to the query, Gregory said, “We wanted three points and we got it.” His reply reflected his strategic plans about maintain his club’s rank in top four teams in BPL points table.

Chennaiyin FC confronted with FC Pune City on 3rd December 2017. The soccer match was played at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex stadium, which is located in Pune. Chennai’s team succeeded in defeating the opponents on their home-ground and jumped to second position in ISL 2017 standings.

Pune’s team presently holds 2nd rank in the point table. The team has played four matches and has succeeded in clinching victories in two games. Showcasing impressive performances in 4th season of Hero Indian Super league, the football clubs of Chennai and Pune have earned 6 points each.

On 10th December this year, FC Pune City is scheduled to take on Jamshedpur FC in 21st match of ISL season 4. The football match is going to be played at JRD Tata Sports Complex stadium, which is situated in Jamshedpur. On other side, Chennaiyin FC will be up against Mumbai City FC in the 22nd game, which will be played on the same date at Mumbai Football Arena.
